The Wisconsin Association for Justice is proud to host David Ball and Don Keenan's introductory seminar "Reptile:  Welcome to the Revolution," which will delve deep into the jury decision-making research made famous by their best-selling book Reptile: The 2009 Manual of the Plaintiff's Revolution. These researchers have credited the Reptile teaching and techniques with over $4.3 billion in verdicts and settlements.

This seminar will feature:

  • Two full days of comprehensive instruction from Don Keenan and David Ball, including case selection & preliminary focus groups, openings & closings, witness preparation, Reptile rules applied to defense experts and jurors, and much more!

NOTE:  This seminar is open to WAJ members and members of other state trial lawyer associations only. Non-members can register for this seminar and join WAJ at a 50% reduction in dues for six months (excluding sustaining membership). In addition, this seminar is open to plaintiff attorneys only. All seminar attendees will be required to sign a nondisclosure statement confirming that they are not defense attorneys and that their firms do not do insurance or self-insurance defense work.  ID will be required at check-in. 

Continuing Legal Education

This seminar has been approved for 14.0 CLE Credits by the Wisconsin Board of Bar Examiners.  It has also been approved for 14.25 CLE Credits by the Minnesota Board of Continuing Legal Education.

Registrants from other states can apply for CLE with their state CLE board individually; WAJ will provide certificates of attendance upon request. Contact Amanda Ward at the WAJ office with any questions.

Case Evaluation Clinic

Don Keenan has offered to present a special case evaluation clinic from 9 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 5.  In order to ensure that Mr. Keenan can provide a detailed review of the cases, space will be limited.  To reserve your spot, please submit a 1 1/2 page case summary memo to Talia Thornton at Mr. Keenan's office.

This memo should include:

  • Liability
  • Causation
  • Damages
  • Problems you are facing

  • Two full weeks before the seminar: Full refund
  • One week before the seminar: 50% refund
  • Week of the seminar: No refund
  • No show: No refund
