Special Guests:
Governor Tony Evers
Tony Evers is Wisconsin’s 46th Governor. A lifelong Wisconsinite and former educator, Tony believes Wisconsin needs a common-sense approach to the issues facing our state. Tony is focused on bringing people together to do the right thing for Wisconsin, whether that’s signing a middle class tax cut, restoring funding to public education, or helping folks get access to high speed internet. In addition to his accomplishments as governor, Tony has 3 children and 9 grandchildren. He loves to play euchre, polka dance, and the Wisconsin Badgers.
Ben Wikler, Chair
Ben Wikler has served as chair of the Democratic Party of Wisconsin since June 2019, helping to deliver a string of historic victories, including flipping Wisconsin for President Biden in 2020, reelecting Gov. Tony Evers in 2022 and electing a progressive majority to the Wisconsin Supreme Court for the first time in 15 years. Prior to serving as Chair, Ben served as Washington DC Director and Senior Advisor for MoveOn, where he played a key leadership role in the successful battle to save the Affordable Care Act and Medicaid. Ben and his wife Beth now live in Madison with their three children and their enormous dog, Pumpkin.
Jodi Habush Sinykin
Jodi Habush Sinykin is currently running for Wisconsin State Senate, District 8—the must-win seat if Wisconsin is to secure a Democratic majority by 2026. With strong roots locally and statewide, Jodi grew up in Fox Point, attended Nicolet High School, University of Michigan, and Harvard Law School. As a policy expert and environmental attorney specializing in legislative work, she has worked on behalf of state-wide coalitions, to help enact important Wisconsin legislation, including the Great Lakes Compact, protecting our Great Lakes from large scale diversions across state lines, as well as Wisconsin’s long-awaited Puppy Mill Bill, which put an end to the scourge of unregulated, inhumane breeding operations in our state. She’s a business owner, environmental attorney and policy expert, and has taught water policy and environmental justice at UW-Milwaukee’s School of Freshwater Sciences. Jodi also spent more than a decade as a trial lawyer at a personal injury firm in Chicago and at Habush Habush and Rottier in Milwaukee. Jodi knows from experience how critical bipartisanship is for our state’s progress and for making government work for Wisconsin once more. Jodi is running to move Wisconsin forward, to be a reasonable, common-sense voice in the legislature after more than a decade of gerrymandered maps, as State Senator for the greater Milwaukee area.
